the stream is here if anybody's interested in watching it. you'll just have to ignore the parts where i get bored distracted by tumblr/skype
i really really really like the british officer uniforms from ww1. the poofy trousers and knee high boots were terrible but i love them anyway.
i was trying out a new style kind of thing..i wanted to keep it sort of looking like my usual drawings but with a different way of doing it?? i don't know but i like the result. it's kinna similar to the stuff i did before lol except less sort of graphic designy and a bit more organic.

um also it's rememberence day today here in blighty so that's another reason to draw up ww1 uniforms. lest we forget.

now i really need to go do some uni work

LOVE this--so beautiful! The feel, the colors, the pose--perfect. I'm writing a WWI story myself. It's one of my favorite eras for sure.

My story is still in the works, and my characters love to surprise me, lol :). But the basic idea is that a young girl named Katherine Kilpatrick falls in love with a painter, Marlowe Gangfield. The story begins around 1910 and goes through the first World War. The story's name is Painter of Light, and I've already got some stuff up in my gallery, I think.

Do you like Downton Abbey?? Your soldier character reminds me of Matthew Crawley, and I saw you named a character Lavinia XD. Kudos either way--I love Downton Abbey and learned a lot about character construction from Julian Fellows.

ooh cool :D sounds good! Painters are the best :)
so far i've just come up with that the two main characters are Gwendolyn Lytton and Leonard Grey, Gwen's a suffragette and Leo is a lawyer, they don't get along at first but it follows them from 1912 throughout the war and after it so their relationship gets better

and i love Downton Abbey! i think the first two series are the best, i wasn't too keen on the third and i'm not sure if i'm gonna be watching the fourth but we'll see x) and heheh people have said that before about Leo, but it wasn't intentional XD

I love your lineless stuff! :D This one looks more organic than your usual though, wonderful!
Iiiiii can practically feel that canvas-like texture, it's so fun to look at :3 Don't even get me started on the subject matter, absolutely adorable work <3

thank you :) i used sort of crayon type photoshop brushes rather than just filling in the spaces with the pen tool. and i like adding textures too much heheh
