yes its god damn bloody depressing but the thing is ww 1 is getting lost inthe maelstrom of history its being supplanted by ww 2
and no matter how horrible ww 2 was and make no mistake it was horrible
its not right that we forget ww 1 30 million men gave their lives for us ina senseless brutal war
30 million or more died for us so we may have a future
the least we can do is remember them
yes ww 2 is terrible
but should ww 1 be forgotten because off that ? that the horror of ww 2 was even greater ?
1 million men were turned in to hamburger at verdun
dont we owe everybody who fought died or survived in the first war to at least be remmeberd ?
